Getting Ready for the Alameda Antique Market

I have been busy the past few days getting ready to show my stuff at Alameda tomorrow.  I am a little nervous as I will have my own spot, J18, which is a few spaces down from Erika and Sandy of the Tattered House http://thetatteredhouse.com/.   Come visit as the weather is supposed to be nice.  Here are some things that I will have in my booth.

A new step

I am taking a new step. Not a simple step.  More like a leap of faith. I am very fortunate to have a small area at the Tattered House. It is more than the cute little Turquoise bungalow on Oak St in old roseville.  But inside it creates a beautiful spot for all to get inspired to live simply. A friendly smile greets you and with a hot cup of tea, take some time to stroll around the shop so you can all relax and enjoy the place!  So back to my jump.  I am taking a whole room!!!  I am hoping that I can step up to the high bar, and step over!  Sandy, Erica, & Collette make it such a pleasant place to be!

To here.  Please check it out when my new room is all done at the Tattered House

celebrate!

Lets celebrate new times to wipe our slates clean and start over!
My quests for the new year are: the gift of sight! (something I did ask santa for!); the gift of organization;  and finally the commitment to my family and friends! and this may be just answering my cell phone!

so with a quick promise to myself  of love. kindness and integrity.  I say to you.
Lets all celebrate the gift of this new year with new hopes for a greater tomorrow..............be lucky, Katy

A WonderfulPlace

Just got back from a wonderful gathering at The Creative Gardener.  Jacque and James spiff up their yard for a very special gathering.  Everywhere you look there are little surprises!  Very inspiring.  Even for my Husband, who came because there was going to be food.  Plants, animals, and rust. What else could you ask for!  (Maybe a pic which I for got to take.)  Check out her wonder blogs  thecreativegardener.blogspot.com        Thanks Jacque and James!

Old Auburn Street Fair

We had a booth at the Old Town Auburn  Street Fair last Sunday and the atmosphere was really great.  The weather was perfect, except for the very end when it began to rain.  There were a lot of people and vendors with some familiar faces from Alameda.  We will post some pictures soon.

Our next event is November 14th at the Tattered House Open House http://thetatteredhouseblog.blogspot.com/  and we are still planning on whether to show at Alameda and Sacramento on the first and second Sunday's of November.  We are planning on a trip to SoCal during Thanksgiving to see about picking up some new items.

Still inside the box

Here we go again, a large empty box. I am going try some camera work, to make this more interesting. Working on vignettes from shows.

These shows are the new excitement in my life. I was in desperate need for some creative outlets. These shows allow me the time and means to do what I love . Treasure hunt!

And what kind of treasues you ask? Anything with age. Something with history.

I would love to post my finds. And then show you what I do with them!!!

Till next time............
